The beauty surpassed the menu! The good was just ok. The drinks were not great. However the ambience made up for everything. Located on the snake river. Sunset was magical.

This was an anglers paradise! Stayed here for two nights on our way back from Yellowstone. The lodge is awesome! They had the best food we had the whole trip. The Trout and Fettuccini Alfredo were delicious. The front desk, waitress/bartender, & chef were really friendly and fun to talk to. The fishing was good and literally right in front of my room. The owners were very friendly and willing to give fishing suggestions. Would recommend the lodge as a destination vacation or if you are just passing through.

Outstanding views, courteous staff and incredibly comfortable altogether. The only reason for 4 over 5 would be the food. It was average. If I return to Yellowstone, I will stay here again. Very, very peaceful and comfy. And dogs more that welcome!

Stayed for four nights here and had a fairly good experience. Some confusion on checking in with room type. Had reserved a room with kitchenette but the first night we were put in a room with some electrical issues and no kitchenette. We were moved to one of the kitchenette suites which was much better than first room. Bedroom area had two queen beds. Kitchen area had sink, fridge, microwave, hot plate, counter area and a dining area. Kitchenette was stocked with utensils, plates and cookware. Beds were quite comfortable. We were visiting Yellowstone so location wasn't ideal but hotels closer were booked up. About 35 minute drive to West Yellowstone and west entrance of park. The nightly price seemed high for what you get and location, but everything in the area seems to be priced for tourists so it's to be expected I suppose.

We came here for lunch. Unfortunately, they have designated times they serve food. We had just finished fishing and were so hungry too. The least they could do was serve appetizers in between times. They only serve drinks during these designated times. We had the drinks but service was sloooooowwww.

We rented the Henry's Fork cabin for a week and it was excellent. The cabin has beautiful view and it is very nice and spacious. Kids had a great time playing at the river right behind the cabin and adults had a great time in the hot tub. It is pretty far from Yellowstone though (about 34 miles to the west gate), so if that is your daily destination be aware... I would happily go there again...

We stayed in their "cabin" for a number of nights. Their cabins ( we saw the inside of more than one) were unsafe for two reasons: 1) The cabins are along the highway. There is no guard rail along the highway to protect the rooms if a car or semi veers off the highway. If that were to happen, the family staying there could be wiped out. 2) The second safety issue was that the back bedroom in the cabins does not have a window. If there were a fire that blocked the door, the occupants would be toast. I can't believe that is legal and permitted. My guess is they were built without a permit, or, at least, without regard for their guests. Aside from those potential disasters, there were numerous problems: 1) Refrigerator and Freezer were dirty. We asked Angler's to clean them, and they did. But they did a mediocre job. 2) The gas fireplace didn't work. We reported it, but despite our long stay, they never repaired it. 3) There were hardly any kitchen supplies in the kitchen. So if you stay in the cabins, either plan on bringing supplies, or don't plan on doing much in the kitchen. 4) There was a water leak from the freezer to the fridge. It ruined some of our food. 5) The washer and dryer were broken. We reported it, but despite our long stay, they never repaired it. 6) The shower water didn't drain well. Disgusting! 7) Wi-fi was claimed, but it barely reached our cabin. 8) Finally, as I mentioned above, the cabins are close to the highway. We heard noise throughout the night, but especially in the early morning as semis roared by. All in all, our stay at Angler's Lodge was a big disappointment.

Beautiful location, beautiful decor. Food was surprisingly good, with delicious trout, and a solid burger.

Angler's Lodge came recommended after my go to spot was booked for the weekend. I called and made reservations which a no hassle event and got a great rate. After staying at a friends the night before our check in, I stopped in to let the AL know my family would be arriving late due to a whirl wind trip to Yellowstone National Park located about 40 or so minutes down the road. I was assured it would not be a problem at all. The night we arrived I called the number listed on the door and within in minutes I was inside my clean and spacious room. The best part of the room was not it's interior (it is nice) but the back door, which was no less then 50 or so feet from the water. When you are up in this neck of the woods you want two things: access to river and fish. The Angler's with all it's lodge style trimmings is truly located on some prime real estate. We ate breakfast in the morning in the restaurant and found it quick and tasty. I found the staff to be down home friendly and the room was a great place to rest our weary heads.

We stayed in the Edgewater cabin, what they don't tell you, is that it's a duplex cabin, and the owners live in the other side. There is no parking, we had to park in a field, the cabin is listed that it sits on a river, the river is across the street. We stayed three nights and one night, I had to listen to the owner's daughter singing and playing music, well after midnight. Their dog, followed us around and would not leave us be. The hot tub, was cold when we got there, so we had to wait until the next night to enjoy it. The staff at the front desk was no help on the area. This was my first time to Island Park, and I am sure there are a lot better placed to stay. It was really deceptive.
